upon reflection, I’m realizing it may be a *good* thing that doing the *right* thing is often the most difficult of available options.
My head is clouded up with a thick gray mist moments after walking away from a sick coworker’s desk. She is exuding icky germs & bad vibes.
sounds like my washing machine is ready for take-off. Should be enough force in that spin to launch the entire house to the moon!
Siempre pensando en español …pero, ¿tengo que aprender catalán para Barcelona? ¿En serio? ¡Aye, mi madre!
Made a new friend this morning. Kinda feels like the first day at a new school. Running late finally paid off!
Supposed to be shooting photos. Totally uninspired - so just sitting here enjoying the ambience. Letting Shan take the pictures.
got an email from my brother about “redistribution of wealth.” Oh dear. I thought I had them trained. A sister’s work is never done.

Getting random chapters of Harry Potter on iPod random play today. Perfectly fine with me.
responding to ads on CL for a dogsitter. Would you (or your most trusted friends) be interested?
going undercover (well, under covers) to read about Spain.
Critical images sporadically missing from our site on Macs … yikes! Don’t know what’s happening. Would love help/advice if you have some.
I dreamt about puppies last night. Neighbors tore down their fence and a flood of cute fluffy sweetness made its way to my house.
Yay!! Just bought a ticket to Barcelona!!
The universe is trying to makeup for the past 24 hrs. Just discovered a brand new (adorable) doggy store on our walking route. #dogttreats
can’t tell you how happy I am to be curled up in my Obama/Biden campaign tshirt + my cowgirl boot slippers and home for the weekend.
Just got a hi-five from a crazy (crazy wonderful) old man walking through the park. See. All better.
Random play on the iPod doing right by me tonight. Also, weather = awesome. Signs that it all gets better from here.
horoscope says that I “just want everyone to have a good time.” Let me tell you … that’s simply not true.
I seriously didn’t think I could feel more frustrated & upset than yesterday, but here we are. Must shake this before I actually see people.
Worst night ever? Well. Probably not but it sure feels like it.
improvising enchiladas with leftovers.

really need to pay attention to where text messages are coming from before responding …
I turned 38 just a half an hour ago. Weird … I didn’t even notice it.
Yeah, actually that would be great. Thx. Xoxo
Trying to calm some anxiety that crept up on me this afternoon … working on a phone-in pharmaceutical solution.
Planned on a matinée, but got distacted by the beautiful day. Am swinging in the hammock eating cherry tomatoes off the vine instead.
last family member at the airport. Now, just me and my dog and a fridge full of leftovers.
It’s a great day when you sit down at breakfast and your favorite song *in the world* comes on.
and then there were two. Just dropped off my brother at PDX en route to Bangkok & Bali. Loved the drive through the beautiful foggy morning.
Drunk and deconstructing the family weekend with my sister and brother and a few friends. It’s actually kind of awesome.
The Victory is doing great. Makes me happy. Even Mr. Friendly is being friendly.
Whiskey @ Victory. I feel myself drifting into a world inside my head as I watch the chatter around me. Oh wait. They’re making fun of me.
Some harsh awakenings about my family this weekend. My sister wishes we could be polite strangers. I kind of like the brutality of it all.

Mom, Dad & Grandma @ PDX heading south. Sister & Brother @ climbing gym. I’m home getting some work done listening to the sounds of silence.
Finally out of a 5 hour discussion about the economy & political philosophies with Dad. My convictions are strengthened, but I’m exhausted.
I really should pay more attention when my brother (a chef) is in the kitchen. Yuuuuuuummmmm!! http://twitpic.com/h7wu
Roping lessons in the backyard with Dad. http://twitpic.com/h7ev

I think I just heard my dad say “The Koran is there for people who haven’t found Christianity.” Oh my. Out of context here, but still …
My family is great, but there are times I wish they came with a remote with volume control. #sensoryoverload
Saturday morning: sister, running. brother, climbing. mother + aunt + dog, hiking. Dad + Grandma + me, walking. #familyweekend
trying to get as much time to myself as possible before everyone wakes up. I love having them here, but I’m incredibly spoiled by my space.
Sharing a bed with my sister tonight and we’re giggling ourselves into oblivion.
conversation at the dinner table has been stuck on “farriers (or lack thereof) in Idaho” for far too long. srsly. a long long time.
Waiting for family dinner at the taco truck. Left 90 yr. old Grandma at home boxing on the Wii.
Trying to cut the cord connecting me and my laptop to prep for house guests. But, this cord is so strong! And I am so weak.
