If you were wondering what’s right across the hall from my hotel room, it’s just where Christopher Columbus lived while he was in Cordoba.
Not exactly sure what led me to the ‘Galeria de la Tortura’ but here I am.
Aye! Que bells esta Cordoba!
(hmmm … guess the iPhone doesn’t speak Spanish) bells = bella.
I wonder what those suckers back in second class are having for breakfast. And, this train is going very very fast.
Leaving Barcelona & heading south to Cordoba in the AM. Will eventually write about this week; must first decide what will be censored …
Feeling like a bit of an idiot trying figure out how to operate the machines in the laundrymat.
Thawing out in the metro. Totally worth it. Hopefully I can get pictures up tonight.
Outside “Font Magica” (freezing!) waiting for the lights and music and the magic!!

Wide awake but super comfy in bed. Would like a refund or a do-over for last night’s dreams. Meeting a new friend in a few hours.
Can’t tell you how disappointed I am receiving an invitation from a friend in Barcelona for one night only, 24hrs after it was sent. :(
Walking, walking, walking. Tapas y cafe. Sunshine and more walking. #Barcelona
Lost. But, there’s the ocean. And Cuban music!!
Wandering through charming little side streets and an open market in Barcelona.
Giant plane from PDX to Amsterdam practically empty (40 passengers). Now boarding crowded flight to Barcelona.
Pre-flight beer & whiskey regiment in the D-concourse.
remembering a time when the only item in my suitcase in need of a power/plug adapter was my hairdryer.
Wanna know what sucks? Getting a cold on the 1st day of vacation. Medicating like mad in hopes of a speedy recovery. Flight tomorrow. #ugh
Oh hey, did I mention I’m heading to Spain this weekend? Excitement building up … Trying to not think about it today else I might explode.
Yup, it’s official. My Patagonia waterproof jacket is no longer waterproof. Time to send it in for a new one, once the jacket (& I) dry out.
Holy Shit. These Bose headphones were worth every last penny.
Looks like I have another mexi-crush. I’m getting table service, free dulces & “estas muy bonita”s @ Pepinos. Que chevere!

I did, however, buy a “Spain Rail ‘n Drive Pass” and deleted a bunch of unread/unwanted email & voicemail.
I wanted an early start today. 2:30 wasn’t what I had in mind, but 2:30 it was. And, what have I done? Squandered every last moment.

we need more of this kind of chickening in the world.
Peacekeeping chickens don’t need tasers to maintain order. (Thanks, Antinous!)
Feeling good about my order for the XO Laptop(s). “Give one. Get one. Change the world.” http://laptop.org/
Just leaving Comcast where I was in line next to the woman who was next to me in the DMV line Saturday. Small world, full of lines.
Sometimes I really love working here. I asked “Know of any good mystery novels set in Barcelona?” Within minutes, I had one in my hand.
Considering a career change. Anyone know of any freelance philosopher gigs?
Green Dragon service turned out to be friendly enough, just a bit sparse. Curious to know how it will change.
First time at the Green Dragon. I’m guessing they’re not known for their service.
Yardwork!! (Zoe is helping.) http://twitpic.com/m8ao
Note to self: no trips to the DMV without a book.
There should be a ribbon to break through once you get to the front of this line. And a crowd cheering you on.
Wow. What a gorgeous day!! At The Screen Door for breakfast with Pauly.
Slowly inching my way through the line at the DMV. Happy to have the iPhone to keep me entertained.
okay. been quiet long enough - going to start banging around the house in hopes of waking my brother so we can go out for a yummy breakfast!

The dog is *flipping out* at Paul’s arrival … little brother in PDX for a few days after his trip to Bangkok & Bali.
Hey look!! The Sun!!
Trying to *not* resent the rain … (funny, as I say that I can hear my dad saying “There is no try …”)
